Elon Musk Tesla Launch Most Affordable Car In India after Germany: Elon Musk, who’s a billionaire, will introduce Tesla’s most affordable car in Germany. A report by Moneycontrol says that this same electric car will also be available in India after its launch in Germany.

Even though Tesla and Musk haven’t officially announced their plans for India, they’re getting ready to start bringing in some of their car models from 2024. But they haven’t shared specific details or the model’s name just yet.

As per the report, the first Tesla model arriving in the country will be the Model Y Crossover. This car, introduced by Tesla in 2020, is an electric SUV that sits between a sedan and a larger SUV. The Model Y is expected to be more affordable than the Model X and might include an option for seven passengers with its available third-row seats.

Before, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal mentioned that Tesla intends to increase the amount of parts it brings in from India. He expressed pride in the rising significance of Indian auto component suppliers in Tesla’s electric vehicle supply chain. Goyal shared this information after visiting Tesla’s manufacturing facility in Fremont, California, stating that Tesla is on track to double its imports of components from India.

In September, Goyal mentioned that Tesla aimed to buy parts valued between $1.7 billion and $1.9 billion from India in 2023. He noted that the company had purchased about $1 billion worth of components in 2022.

Elon Musk Tesla Agreement with India:

According to Bloomberg on November 21st, India is getting closer to finalizing a deal with Tesla. This agreement would permit the American automaker to bring its electric cars into the country starting next year and potentially establish a factory within two years.

The report mentioned the possibility of an announcement during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January. It also highlighted Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu as potential locations, citing their well-established setups for electric vehicles and exports.
